Khang was last seen between 5:00 and 6:00 PM near Northview Park, in the area of 156 Street and 112A Avenue. His family reported him missing around 7:50 PM, and the urgency has only intensified with each passing hour. Khang, who has black hair, brown eyes, and was last seen wearing a blue jacket, grey pants, and green shoes, is unable to communicate verbally and may not respond if approached. His affinity for water has steered much of the search toward rivers, ponds, and wooded paths in the surrounding area.
Despite cold temperatures and windy conditions overnight, police, search and rescue teams, and countless volunteers have pushed forward. A command center has been established at Erma Stephenson Elementary School, where community members continue to gather, bringing flashlights, search dogs, and warm clothing to aid in the ground search. Aerial support and expert trackers from the South Fraser Search and Rescue Society are also involved.
The community response has been heartfelt and overwhelming. Neighbors and strangers alike have banded together to canvass parks, alleys, and quiet backyards, hoping to find any sign of the missing boy. Authorities are also asking people to review doorbell or security footage from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM on the day Khang disappeared—small details could prove vital.
