Brandon Cronk Death: Beloved Canadian Tire CNCC Staff Member Tragically Dies in Midland, ON – April 17, 2025

Midland, Ontario — April 17, 2025 — The community of Midland and the staff of Canadian Tire are deeply heartbroken by the unexpected death of Brandon Cronk, a respected colleague, loyal friend, and beloved son, who tragically passed away in an auto accident on April 17, 2025. Brandon, who was known for his lighthearted humor, infectious smile, and sincere kindness, leaves behind a legacy of joy, service, and unwavering positivity. He was 28 years old.

Brandon was a proud graduate of St. Theresa’s High School and lived in Barrie, Ontario, although his roots remained deeply planted in Midland, where he was born and raised. His commitment to community, his enthusiasm for life, and his strong work ethic made him a standout presence wherever he went. Most recently, Brandon worked at Canadian Tire CNCC, where he quickly became an integral part of the team—not just as an employee, but as someone who brought joy and warmth to the workplace every single day.

His coworkers and supervisors at Canadian Tire fondly remember Brandon as someone who constantly uplifted the atmosphere with humor, positivity, and a tireless willingness to lend a helping hand. He was described as “the type of guy who could turn a stressful day into something better with just a smile or a well-timed joke.” A heartfelt tribute from CNCC staff member Jeff Bumstead captured the grief shared by many:

“The CNCC family is experiencing the loss of a young man who was always smiling, joking around, willing to help out, and brought so much positivity. He brightened everyone’s day. My thoughts are with his family, friends, coworkers, and everyone his life has touched. Taken way too young in an auto accident—he will never be forgotten. RIP Brandon Cronk.”

Beyond his work life, Brandon was a passionate supporter of his local community and sports teams. Whether volunteering at events, cheering from the sidelines, or spending time with friends and family, Brandon’s energy and laughter made every moment memorable. He lived each day with a generosity of spirit that made those around him feel seen, supported, and appreciated.

Brandon is survived by his loving parents, Jeff and Cindy Cronk, who are navigating this unimaginable loss with grace and strength. He is also survived by his siblings, Brittany Cronk and Ryan Cronk, both of whom cherished Brandon not only as a brother but as a lifelong friend, confidant, and source of endless encouragement.

Plans for a memorial service are currently underway and will be shared publicly in the coming days. The Cronk family has expressed their sincere gratitude for the outpouring of support and compassion shown by the Midland and Barrie communities and are asking for continued prayers as they grieve.

Brandon Cronk’s sudden departure leaves behind a legacy that will not fade. He touched countless lives through his kindness, hard work, and ability to bring light to even the darkest days. While he may no longer be with us physically, the joy he brought to others continues to echo in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved him.

His life, though tragically cut short, was filled with purpose, laughter, and compassion. May we all honor Brandon’s memory by carrying forward the kindness he gave so freely and the love he shared so effortlessly.

Rest in peace, Brandon Cronk. Your light lives on.
